Payment Options
Payments can be made by email transfer to contact@temibakes.com, credit/debit card or cash. Cash is only accepted in person.   Kindly note that we do not accept cheques.

Client Contract - Retainer Required

Your order becomes reserved when the 30% non-refundable deposit is received. 100% of payment is required for orders booked less than 3 months in advance. 

This payment is NON-REFUNDABLE in the event of a cancellation. Orders are first come, first serve as I only do a limited number of cakes per week. Payment of deposit confirms agreement with terms and conditions.

Payment policy

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required when order is placed. The remaining balance is due 1 month to the event’s date.

If you book your order less than 3 months before your event date, the total amount is due immediately and the order will not be regarded as booked with Temi Bakes until full payment is received.                                                                                

Dessert Design & Changes

If fresh flowers are to be used on your desserts, you acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants. Our products may contain or come into contact with milk, wheat, nuts, soy, and other allergens. You agree to notify your guests of this risk and Temi Bakes will not be held liable for any allergic reactions.

We reserve the right to use any photographs for display or promotion without compensation to you. Artistic license may be exercised in order to guarantee the structural, visual, and creative integrity of a dessert structure. Changes to your dessert order: size, description, flavors, etc. will be accepted until 1 month prior to the event date. After that lockout date we cannot accept any changes.

Delivery and Set-up

Delivery and setup are required for all wedding cakes and for some multiple tier special occasion cakes. The client is responsible for providing an appropriate, level & secure table and environment for the dessert(s).                          

Return Items

Please return any stands, plates or other decor to Temi Bakes no later than 3 days after your event. A deposit will be required for your rented items and will only be refunded after items have been returned in excellent condition. In the case of later return, damage to, or loss of equipment, this deposit may be used towards remediation or replacement of the equipment. If the equipment replacement charges exceed the security deposit, then the customer agrees to pay the difference above the security deposit. Please do not attempt to clean rentals.                                                                         

Pickups

If you want to pick up your cake and/or dessert(s) please make arrangements beforehand. If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the dessert(s), you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the dessert(s) once it leaves Temi Bakes' possession.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of cancellation: Dessert(s)s cancelled prior to the 1 month lockout date may be refunded up to 50% of balance paid. The non-refundable retainer will not be refunded. Dessert(s) cancelled after the 1 month lockout date will not be refunded. In the event that something occurs to affect your scheduled event date – please contact us as soon as possible to discuss options. 

Force Majeure

Neither Party will be liable for any failure or delay in performing an obligation under this Agreement that is due to any of the following causes, to the extent beyond its reasonable control: acts of God, accident, riots, war, terrorist act, epidemic, pandemic, quarantine, civil commotion, breakdown of communication facilities, breakdown of web host, breakdown of internet service provider, natural catastrophes, governmental acts or omissions, changes in laws or regulations, national strikes, fire, explosion, generalized lack of availability of raw materials or energy. For the avoidance of doubt, Force Majeure shall not include (a) financial distress nor the inability of either party to make a profit or avoid a financial loss, (b) changes in market prices or conditions, or (c) a party's financial inability to perform its obligations hereunder.

Guarantee

I promise to do everything in my power to deliver dessert(s) that exceeds your expectations. I will work with you to make sure you are pleased with your order. Temi Bakes cannot be held responsible for anything that should happen to the dessert(s) once delivery is complete. Please note that direct sunlight and temperature over 23 degrees Celsius may have drastic and adverse effects on any dessert (cakes/desserts doesn’t like heat)

Disclaimer: In the case of an emergency or an error in your dessert(s) delivery, please contact us immediately so we can fix the issue right away! If you are unhappy with your dessert(s) for any reason, please call us the day of your event and explain the situation. In the rare case that you are unhappy with your cake and would like a refund, you must call the day of your event so your cake can be returned. Without proof that you are indeed unhappy with the product and will not be using it for your event, we will be unable to refund any portion of your payment. This is necessary to hinder the very rare case of “If we complain, we’ll get a free cake” scenario. We are dedicated to satisfying our clients’ requirements.
